The Underground Movement: Krishnamurti quotes in the London Tube

The poster campaign of Krishnamurti quotes on the London Underground began on Monday October 21st 2013, and ran for 2 weeks. Shown here is the “Truth is Pathless Land” one. There was a total of 27 across-track posters up on platforms that had 5 different quotes: “Have a complete break with the past and see what happens.” ; “Education, in the true sense, is the understanding of oneself, for it is within each one of us that the whole existence is gathered” ; “War is the spectacular and bloody projection of our everyday living.” ; “We all want to be famous people, and the moment we want to be something we are no longer free.”

The posters were unattributed, because we wanted people to engage with the ideas before thinking about the person from whom they came. However, as soon as someone visits the website kft.org they saw the quote in the paragraph to which it belongs and there was an introduction to Krishnamurti and his teachings.
